Session 3 CHD and Heat Stress Presentation (UNICEF, UCSF, SAMRC, SUNY) - February 13, 2023

In the presentation, The Child Health Task Force and UNICEF collaborated to bring together how heat stress is a worrying contributing factor and what can be done to protect pregnant women and infants against it globally. 

The series is aligned with the Healthy Environments for Healthy Children framework, which identifies which environmental and climate hazards affect children globally and their rights to a healthy environment.

Primary health care measurement framework and indicators: monitoring health systems through a primary health care lens

This guidance provides countries with a conceptual framework for measuring primary health care (PHC) performance.  It includes a menu of indicators to track and monitor progress in strengthening PHC-oriented health systems as an accelerator towards universal health care.  Countries can use the framework and indicators to assess and monitor gaps and needs in PHC to guide actions and investments in improving essential services.

Development of a Toolkit for Institutionalization of Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM), Preparatory Phase Report

The Institutionalizing Integrated Community Case Management (iCCM) Subgroup of the global Child Health Task Force (CHTF) is developped a toolkit to support country stakeholders to institutionalize iCCM. This work is being supported by the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) Impact Malaria program through PSI's Health System Accelerator and has been divided into two distinct phases - a preparatory phase from October 2021 to March 2022, followed by a toolkit development phase from April to September 2022.
