This Save the Children guide is based on findings from a global literature review on iCCM program implementation in emergencies and on case studies from Yemen and Haiti. The Girls' Iron Folate Tablet Supplementation (GIFTS) Ghana Project Evaluation

The GIFTS Program is designed to improve the nutritional status of menstruating girls/women aged 10-19 years in Ghana. The program, which is supported through a collaboration with the Ghana office of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Ghana Ministries of Health and Education, Emory University Global Health Institute and The U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, provides free weekly IFA supplementation delivered to in-school and out-of-school adolescent girls as well as health and nutrition education sessions for both boys and girls.

This desk based review was conducted to synthesize these national policies to provide child health stakeholders in Nigeria with a shared understanding of the 2030 vision (SDG targets) for child health. The review focuses on the child health priorities, targets and strategies to achieve the 2030 vision as articulated in Nigeria’s key policy documents as well as identified needs and gaps that undermine progress towards these goals.

Conceptualization, Prototypes & Tests Status Update Document

This document is a status quo documentation of the most recent design phase conducted for the Re-imagining TA project in the DRC. It is the continuation of the exploration and the understanding of the context and the development of insights, the ideation and prioritisation. 

This particular phase focused on the exploration of opportunity spaces identified in the previous workshop and the conceptualization of initial prototypes and their testing. This took place between May 5th and 12th 2019 with the majority of the co-creation team.

Workshop Goal and Objectives: The Redesigning Technical Assistance for Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Health Systems Strenghtening Project (Project) organized an insight and ideation workshop in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) from March 19-20, 2019 to generate, develop and communicating new ideas. The workshop aimed to develop a synergistic understand-ing of the current technical assistance (TA) challenges and opportunities faced by various actors in the DRC health system, and foster a collective ownership of the redesign process.
