Including Nutrition Commodities on Global and National Medicines Lists: Case Examples and Country Experiences

The Nutrition and Commodities subgroups of the Child Health Task Force hosted a webinar to discuss the process for including nutrition commodities in the WHO Essential Medicines List (EML) using multiple micronutrient powders (MNPs) as a case example. Representatives from Malawi and India governments/partners who support them also shared their experiences including food-based nutrition commodities in their national medicines lists and the implications of this on the children who need it the most using ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTF) as an example.
