2022 Drought Response: Action Against Hunger, Somalia's Experience

Country learnings and opportunities to advance pediatric quality of care
As part of efforts to strengthen implementation of maternal, newborn and child health quality of care, the Quality of Care Network and the Quality of Care subgroup of the Child Health Task Force started a new series of webinars on pediatric quality of care. 2nd Global Forum on Childhood Pneumonia
The 2nd Global Forum on Childhood Pneumonia built on the momentum for action generated by the first Global Forum in Barcelona in 2020, and pivoted political attention from COVID-19 to the specific government actions needed to reduce child pneumonia deaths.

Members' Meeting: Virtual Conference
The Secretariat hosted a Child Health Task Force members meeting on April 19, 2023, in French and English, to share updates on planning for the virtual conference: Accelerating progress towards the 2030 SDGs - Reducing inequities in child health. The presentation reviewed the conference objectives, thematic tracks, draft agenda, received abstracts and next steps. Participants then asked questions and discussed member involvement in the conference.

The global launch of the Nurturing Care Handbook and Practice Guide was co-hosted by the World Health Organization and UNICEF in collaboration with the Network for Improving Quality of Care for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health, the Quality of Care subgroup of the Child Health Task Force, and the Early Childhood Development Action Network.
